Trips to the nearby islands of Los Lobos and Lanzarote are always ideal for tourists spending their vacations in Fuerteventura. La Graciosa, as well as Gran Canaria and Tenerife are accessible as daytrip destinations from Fuerteventura, but, as a rule, tourists usually prefer Lanzarote and Los Lobos in this respect. These destinations are reachable both by sea and by air, but, again, most visitors tend to choose boat trips over flights since the sea is much more rewarding and promising in terms of views and fun, leisure and sports opportunities. In addition, the distance between Fuerteventura and the nearby islands is so small that flights are somewhat redundant, except, of course, cases when emergencies call for faster means of transport.
Puerto del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura. It is located only 5 kilometers from the Airport, and it is the infrastructural hub of the island.
Fuerteventura features wholesome conditions for biking, as compared to other Canary Islands. Bike rental opportunities too enable this sports activity.
The Cueva del Llano Museum is one of the few opportunities in Fuerteventura of geologically exploring the island. Visitors are offered guided tours.
