Traveling by air is the most convenient and timesaving manner to get to Fuerteventura. The airport which services the tourist platform of the island is located only 5 kilometers south of the capital of Fuerteventura, namely, Puerto del Rosario, and in convenient proximity to some of the top resorts on the island: Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo, for instance. Some 50 airline companies operate at FUE. They cover connections to plenty of national and international destinations. The airport is the main entrance gate in the tourist richness of Fuerteventura. Virtually the entire island is opened to exploration once the visitor lands to the El Matorral Airport (FUE), given the excellent road infrastructure and the professional public and private transport operators in Fuerteventura.
Travelling by sea seems to be a little more varied in terms of arrivals in Fuerteventura, since the island can be accessed by three major ports: Puerto del Rosario, Puerto de Corralejo and Puerto de Morro Jable.
