The airport which services the tourist platform of the island is located only 5 kilometers south of the capital of Fuerteventura, namely, Puerto del Rosario, and in convenient proximity to some of the top resorts on the island: Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo, for instance. Some 50 airline companies operate at FUE. They cover connections to plenty of national and international destinations. The airport is the main entrance gate in the tourist richness of Fuerteventura.
